...becomes Flock of Turkeys. They are our neighbors here at the new place, and I'll tell you, Monkey is absolutely entranced by them. He runs around pseudo-gobbling for hours after they make an appearance every few days. It's pretty dang cute, but woe betide anyone who makes a turkey gobble while their visit is still in memory. He will run from window to window, pointing and gobbling which escalates into much less cute behavior.
Ah, toddlerhood.
We're likely expecting a new armful of potential and issues in early to mid-November, I'm thinking. I go in next Monday to the doc, but I already know what's up, lol...
Okay, Monkey is ALL DONE with my blogging for now. Must fly-- well, at least begone.
Happy nearly March, everyone!

Knit One, Save One...

I read about this site on a mom's site that I (sometimes) frequent. For those who knit or crochet, you make a cap and mail it off (with a requested letter to the President- Elect). They ask you to donate $ if you can, as well.
I was immediately drawn to the idea and downloaded my "Action Kit" as well as a couple of patterns.
Being a mom, my heart aches to think of babies being cold-- and also for how the mothers of said babies must feel! I feel like this is something that I can do that fits into my busy life, that will make a difference. I have a lot of yarn stashed and newborn/low-birthweight projects are very quick-- perfect for knocking out in those times when the kiddo is playing independently.
If anyone is interested in Save the Children, the sponsor of Knit One, Save One, please visit their website and get involved if you can.
Best to your and your families, and families everywhere this holiday season.
