Redbeard told me this morning that we don't have to fix a bunch of food because it doesn't sound like we are going to have any company. But I *know* how much he has been craving chili dogs-- and chili isn't a bunch of work. Just throw it all in the CP and let it cook itself. No biggie. He's going to grill the brats (as "dog" as I'll eat) and the chicken wings (which I'll finish into buffalo wings). I made guacamole last night (YUM) and we've got chips, salsa, dip and veggies.
It will be a party just for us, lol! Why not?
SuperBowl always passed me by until I moved to Montana; it was a sort of "huh?" moment every time it came around. "Oh, is it time again for that already?" Now, it's something to look forward to because it means friends getting together, and something to throw a party around. I am NOT a party thrower, but now that we are in this bigger space where people actually fit comfortably, and I like to cook-- well, it's cool!
So, despite Redbeard's softballing it, I am going to put the beans for chili on, and we will have some deliciousness this afternoon.
Oh-- and Jen, I am blogging again...! (My sister keeps telling me that she kept checking my blog and... *nothing*!) Well, I'm BACK, BABY! Lol...
that's a beautiful new headline picture. I kind of miss winter and then... I kind of don't :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mrs. Soersdal! I love winter, but it *for sure* has its pain-in-the-tender-bits parts... I just went snowshoeing yesterday with Monkey and Redbeard though, and oh... it is wonderful! :)
